www.geocities.com/scholara/index.html Real Egypt Classical Resources and other stuff serious and silly and inbetween will have to close in October and I’ld like to see a full explanation?
I cant afford Free hosting since I’m not getting enuff Paypal donations and now I’m going to have to change most of my educational and reference material pages over to a different free hosting site or turn them into blogs and I can no longer provide free background patterns or art work to people for Xmas!
i would be quite happy to add Adsense to my website in exchange for Freehosting instead of having to pay for hosting material.
If I can store blogs on Orble (www.strangesituations.com and www.bookswellread.net ) in exchange for having ads why can’t Yahoo do that?
Does the general public and yahoo management think any one who has a site with educational sections is a highly paid university professor who’s fully tenured ?
With no freehosting what willhappen is a lot more silly sites set up by people with lots of money to spend pretending to be experts who are not! I have a Classics M.A. by the way so while not actively teaching for money I can claim to be an expert on several subjects.
You only have to look at some sections of Answers to see what will happen. We have teenagers there who think they’re experts because unlike the rest of the class they actually read an entire book!
Yes I’m almost ranting but I’ve seen no decent explanation provided for closing Freehosting.
Before anyone points the “low cost of webhosting” I am on a restricted income due to various problems. Whats pocket money to you would mean me losing money I could use for essentials?

I know Google Adsense has a referral program which will pay the affiliate after someone signs up using their affiliate link. Does Yahoo Publisher have a similar system where people may sign up using an affiliate link and make that affiliate money for the signup/referral?

Google ads will now be on Yahoo. Does anyone believe that Google would ever ban Yahoo from it’s Adsense program? And does anyone believe that Google would send an email to Yahoo
with no option of communicating with Google? I doubt that Yahoo will not have suspicious clicks being as big as they are, but they wont be banned because they are big business. Google’s official philosophy # 6 is “You can make money without doing evil”. They do evil every day by banning publishers for life with no explanation, and no recourse. You also loose any revenue due to you. If you are considering placing Google Adsense on your website, don’t. There are better options out there. Do you think Google is a good company?

Google has an advertising program called AdSense and if you let them run ads on your website, as well as Google Search boxes, you earn small amounts of money, depending on how popular your site is, or how many clicks or “buys” from clicks originated on your site occur after a month or so. I wonder if Yahoo! has the same program. I have my websites hosted through Yahoo, and I even have used the Yahoo Sitebuilder software to design some of them, so I would rather use Yahoo publisher’s advertising solutions. I tried looking around in Yahoo, but couldn’t find any information regarding this. I just wonder if such program exists. I would go with Yahoo instead of with Google, but if Yahoo doesn’t have one, hey, I go with Google. Thanks for the response. <>
