What Is Google Adsense And How Does A Person Make Money From It, Meaning What Is Needed??

Google Adsense is a contextual advertising program that shows advertisements based on the content of your site. Given that it actively tailors the ads that visitors will see on your site, it is intended to generate more response from viewers and earn the publishers more money.
You earn mainly through cost per click (or everytime a visitor clicks on your ad) though Adsense has already introduced CPM ads (you get paid for every 1,000 times the ad is seen). Adsense uis beta testing to a limited number of publishers CPM-based video ads (through site targeting) and cost per action ads (similar to affiliate programs)
I suggest you go to Google Adsense and read their program policies, blogs and case studies http://www.google.com/adsense
The requirements are:
1- A website: you won’t get approved without a website. You need either a website or a blog. Sites using free hosting is allowed PROVIDED that the free host does not show competing ads
2- Content: the type of content is important because your income will be based on the type of keyword you show as well as the responsiveness of the visitor to the ad.
A travel website that provides information on travel to Spain will attract visitors looking for ways to arrange their travel and spend money on their vacation to Spain. Your site provides the info, but the ads will provide hotels, travel agencies, tourist destinations, car rentals — ads that are likely to get the attention of the users of your site. This is a site that will most likely do well with Adsense.
However, if you are a gaming website where the main purpose of the user is to play games on your site, then Adsense will not perform as well.
3- Theme of the site. How your site converts for the advertiser is very important as there is what is called SMART PRICING. Google’s smart pricing feature automatically adjusts the cost of a keyword-targeted content click based on its effectiveness compared to a search click.
No one knows how this actually works. But it can affect the pricing of the ads on your site. If the advertiser paid for $0.50/click – but your site is smartpriced – then the cost may be discounted lower (e.g. $0.25). So you may try to develop a site based on high paying keywords but if smartpricing gets to you, then you may not get as much per click as what you are expecting from your keywords.
Here is Google’s explanation of smart pricing https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/a…
