I want to change my gMail address because I chose a strange-sounding name without thinking. The problem is now I have a bunch of Google accounts associated with this gMail account (YouTube, adwords, adsense, blogger, etc. etc.)
I don’t want to have a dual identity with Google, so is there a ‘legit’ way to merge the ‘accounts’ or ‘identities’?

If it is for two different persons with two different websites, you can
BUT — you need to be careful. If any one of you is terminated for click fraud, the other will be kicked out as well because your accounts are associated (same address). This has happened several times posted in forums.

When I sign up for Google AdSense, I have to give my home adress.
How will Google use this address? Will they only send checks or also a “start up”-mail? Or do they not use it at all?

Adsense no longer allows PO Box as home address for Adsense account because of the correlation of PO Boxes with fraud. Though they have not put this anywhere on their site, but I understand that when you apply and you use PO Boxes the form will not allow you or your application will not be accepted
See this thread in Webmasterworld “Explanation of why P.O. Boxes are now banned from AdSense” http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum89/36…
Here is how to fill up the form and putting your home address https://www.google.com/adsense/support/b…
