Question About Adsense?

Can you add a tag into the adsense HTML? I know in the TOS it says you can’t alter the code, but are you allowed to do this? Thanks

No, you aren’t allowed. You shall not make _any_ modification to the adsense code.
But you can do this for example:
This way you didn’t touch the adsense code.
BTW, the center tag is deprecated you should use something like this:
