This is an issue with the advertisers adds that they submit. Google does try to prevent things like this, and you should be able to limit the adds to adds that are actually going to be relevent to your website, which tends to lower the incidence of this. The problem they face is that unfortunately there are too many unscrupulous porn brokers on the net, and unfortunately the same ones who believe in installing viruses to increase thier business tend to be the ones who will lie and cheat to get the viruses into the add frames. I believe there are ways to tell the systems to not allow activex in the adds, but this may block some adds from working. The only time YOU will get the viruses is if you have visited your site and viewed the adds yourself, which you will tend to do. This really comes down the secuirity on the advertising service, some are better than others, if you do your research you may be able find another reputable advertising banner people who check the adds more thouroughly themselves, but it really is down to the people who have posted the adds.

Actually it wont make it any easier for you to get viruses. Infact everything is done "server side" or not on your computer but on googles computer. I dont think the largest search engine site would make their advertising programs give everyone viruses. If it did you would see it in the news. How adsense works is a google robot reads your website looking for keywords such as "flowers", or "electronics". Then it sends this information to the google server. Google then automatically takes advertisements from peolpe who are paying to use the service and places those text ads on your website. Now unless you own a webserver at home, adsense never even touches your home computer. So dont be afraid, go ahead and make yourself some money. Also, there is free antivirus software out there you can download such as AVG or avast if you are still concerned.

No its never happened to my adsense ads but...http://www.google.com/search?client=fire...
I personally dont like adsense because people recognize the ads and dont click on them unless you disguise them a little as regular links, but then google will make you "undisguise them" so its a no win situation in my opinion unless you have a website thats getting thousands of visitors a day from the search engines. If your visitors are coming from links to your site and not search engines, you can message me because Id rather not spend time explaining how to make income out of that unless it applies to you.

That's pure nonsense.
His computer got a virus -- but not through Adsense
I have been with Adsense since June 2003, and never even heard of Google Adsense spreading viruses around. Do you really think that the forums -- and eventually the media -- will not talk about Adsense spreading a virus?
And how can a hacker put virus only in HIS adsense account?
What good or bad experiences from Adsense? Some website owners earn more than $100,000 a year from Adsense, with a few even earning in the millions. If that's not a good thing, I don't know what is
Don't believe this nonsense
