That would be a great idea. People are always looking for myspace layouts so you should make a decent amount from Adsense.
Some people make really good money, but it does depend on how many people are visiting your site and interested in your topic.
It is not guaranteed you will make any money nor can you ever tell how much you will make. All you can do is build up your blog and visitors and add Adsense and cross your fingers.

No matter what you have on your site/blog, but it must be regularly visited by a lot of people and should be updated frequently. Only then AdSense will consider you.
Always it is a great idea to have lots of traffic on the site and then sign up for AdSense. MySpace idea is great. But people must visit it often. Also, to see how many people come to your website or blog, I suggest http://www.sitemeter.com/
Google’s Blogger will be great, as you can be connected with AdSense, Blogger and even sites like GMail and YouTube with a single Google Account.

with google you can make a log of money no question, sorry i’m not going to disclose earnings though.
a blog is a good way to go, but as for a free service such as blogger i’m not so sure, after all you are limited in what you can do, you dont really own anything and you will always end up making more money for blogger than yourself, its better to bite the bullet and setup a blog with your own domain, it only costs around $6 a month and is very easy to do http://www.computer-adviser.com/setting-…

I have Adsense account for more than 2 years now but what I’m getting from it is not enough to allow me to retire, yet. Blogger is a good platform because of 2 main reasons:
1) It’s easy to add Adsense code and layout.
2) It has inherent search engine properties, and this is important in the long run…
If you want to build blog on Blogger, do your due diligence by doing enough keyword research. Find what’s hot and get high search volume. You can use free keyword tools e.g Google own Adword keywords tool.
Next, you want to build good content around this keywords. Build enough content and make sure they are optimized for the search engine – the title, the meta tag, the keywords density, etc.
Then you need to get traffic to your blog. This is where Blogger has an advantage because it’s owned by Google and your blog can get good ranking which brings you good organic free traffic.

Adsense will pay you when your balance with them reaches 100 USD. I’ve had my adsense account for 2 years and I’m on $96!
Obviously it depends on how much traffic you can get to your site and whether the kind of people that visit your site are also the kind of people that click ads.
One advantage of Adsense is that it’s free to set up, so you have nothing to lose (except time!). Use Blogger to set up your blog, because it’s connected to Google. Promote your blog wherever you can and try to get as many readers as you can. When you think you’ve got a good enough readership going and have several interesting posts (keyword rich), apply for an adsense account. If they turn you down, keep blogging for a bit longer, and apply again.

If you want to earn money from Adsense, you need to consider and think about the following factors when thinking about your topic
1. Responsiveness of audience to the ads = A travel website that provides information on travel to Spain will attract visitors looking for ways to arrange their travel and spend money on their vacation to Spain. Your site provides the info, but the ads will provide hotels, travel agencies, tourist destinations, car rentals — ads that are likely to get the attention of the users of your site. This is a site that will most likely do well with Adsense. However, if you are a gaming website where the main purpose of the user is to play games on your site, then Adsense will not perform as well.
2. Ad format = some types of ads do better than others depending on your content and layout. In our case, large rectangles in the middle of the content is the best, while leaderboards do not generate as much as income. Skys are the worst for us. Experiment and measure the results via channels and see which formats work best for you.
3. Ad placement – check Google’s heat map as they have tested where the best placements are https://www.google.com/support/adsense/b...
4. Ad colors – sometimes ads blended into the content works wonders, but sometimes ads that contrast your site colors work best
5. Number of ad units on a page = we are allowed maximum of 3 ads + 1 ad links + 1 search box on a page. Maximize the allowed number based on the resulting look of your page (you don’t want an overkill of ads). Users going to your page and reading your content may ignore the banner or rectangle at the top of the page, but may click on the ad at the bottom of the article
6. Smartpricing – the big unknown in Adsense. No one knows how this actually works. But it can affect the pricing of the ads on your site. If the advertiser paid for $0.50/click – but your site is smartpriced – then the cost may be discounted lower (e.g. $0.25). So you may try to develop a site based on high paying keywords but if smartpricing gets to you, then you may not get as much per click as what you are expecting from your keywords.
