Isn’t Google Adsense Pointless Because, ?

I could just go on the computer, make a website, put AdSense on it, go to the library or a friend’s computer and go on my website and click on the ads ALL day long, and I’d be rich. It’s not that hard if you think about it. I don’t know if they check for IP address, so you can’t do that on your own, but they can’t track it if you’re at someone else’s computer. It really is a ridiculously easy way of becoming rich. Every time an ad is clicked on your website, money goes into your account. I mean, it’s a great, easy way to get rich, but didn’t they think that TONS of people would do that? Making a website is not hard. I could make a website on Blogger right now, and then I would get paid from the ads all the time. Heck, I could hire people to just click on ads for me. Why did they make it that easy?

Google has PhDs who have already developed fraud detection measures for people like you and what you think is easily done
And no, it is NOT exactly what it is for
You are defrauding the advertisers. The advertisers placed their ads to attract people interested in what they have to offer, not to put money into your pocket.
You can try it — and see how long you’ll last. Adsense is notorious for kicking out cheating publishers, and they will track you

Other than the fact that this is illegal, each time you clock on an ad you only make like five cents, so good luck getting rich. Also if the people at google see that your website has twenty hits and and twenty adsense clicks they might get suspicious. But thats beside the point because you really can’t make all that much money even if you click on the ads all day,

Google has some fine techniques to catch fraud and invalid clicks and those doing these will get their adsense account banned. They keep this techniques secret, so we can only guess. Just check some adsense forums, we can see lot of new adsense users crying after their account is banned, most of them admiting they used some fraud method.

Google has a pretty strong fraud detection policy so you wont get far clicking on your own ads. Plus of course its illegal.

Hmmm.. not really… that is not what it is for. Adsense is not about you making money buy clicking your ads. Adsense and adwords is about making publicity for a product, via text (and sometimes graphic) ads. You, as an adsense publisher, get a part of the revenue made out of these ads, but only if the ads serve their purpose: reaching the intended public. You or your friends clicking these ads over and over again, are (most of the time) not the intended public.
Being an adsense publisher, but also an adwords advertiser, this makes sense to me. Every time someone clicks on an ad that I have with adwords, this costs me 25 cents. If someone like you is clicking my ad 100 times a day, that will cost me 25$, and still not one possible customer has reached my website. Result: unhappy advertiser
But: no worries, you can still make money out of adsense, just create a good site, with lots of visitors, and you will earn a nice piece of money too.http://www.icantinternet.org
