Is Anyone Earning Money Thru Google Adsense/adwords?

I am not sure if anyone is earning money thru Google adsense/adwords. Is it real? Can you pls let me know how we can earn money by using Adsense?

I used to use it on my sites but was only earning a few dollars a month as it was not showing adverts that were relevant to the sites subject. Being as the revenue was so low, I removed it. I made more money by having a “donate using Paypal” button on my site than I did from Adsense.
It does depend on your sites content, but you could sell advertising space or try to get page sponsership or something like that.
