  Google Adsense is the program that allows you to put Google ads on your site.
  Google adwords is what pays for the ads. You advertise your business or site through them and pay Google to get you listed on the first page or last page of results.
  You don’t pay Google anything unless you are advertising using google adwords.
  With Adsense, when people click on your ads you get paid a small amount for each click and sometimes a page impression if you get lots of traffic.
  It can easily be done if you choose a topic with high paying keywords and create a site with about 200 pages on that topic and get backlinks to your site and get about 2000 visitors a day or so.
  There are also tons of other alternatives to Adsense. It is good to create different sites using different payers so that you don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

  Google makes money by Adwords.
  Where the ads you publish on your site are being sponsored by companies to be put through google..
  its like i want to publicize my website so i ask google to advertise my website..
  and suppose you are registered user with google adsense.
  so you will publish my ads on your website.
  that means.. google will take 500 Rs from me to publish my website ads
  and will pay you 200 Rs to publish that ad on your website.

  Hey this really helped me because it enabled me to look over this guys shoulder and see how he made money with AdSense and my earnings increased over night! I didn’t get rich yet but going from 2 bucks a week to 15 is a big deal…for me.$2 a day wasn’t cutting it…only a cup of coffee at peets.   They pay about 75% to you, and keep 25% for themselves.
  For example, suppose there’s an ad on your site that costs the advertisers $1.00 per click. If one of your visitors clicks it, Google gives you $0.75 and keeps $0.25 for themselves.
  You do not ever have to pay them anything if you’re using AdSense.

  To tell the truth, google adsense is hard to make money with unless your website is a big hit. You CANNOT click your own ads and they pay you per click.
  If your ads arnt clicked like a certain ammount of time a month they cancel your account and they keep the money you made.
  Use text-link-ads
  much better

  Focus on driving traffic to your web site, then look for someone to serve ads on your site. After you build up the traffic, you can find a large number of companies that will sell ad space on your site. Content is key. Content keeps people coming back. Look at the sites that attract you and learn from them.
  I use AdBrite. I had a bad experience with Google AdWords and I don’t use them anymore. If they shut you down you will never find out why. You’ll get automated responses and you will never reach a real person.

  People pay google for them to have their ads listed on adsense, and then it goes back to the people that have ads on their website. (not all of it)

  They make money from advertisers. First they get money after they give others.

  Google doesn’t just own Google, Google owns a ton of other things too, however, I don’t know any off the top of me head.
