It depends on a lot of factors.
If you have gazillion traffic, even if you have low paying keywords, you can earn millions a year. The popular Canadian dating site PlentyofFish http://www.plentyoffish.com ranked by Alexa as 706 struggled at first with very low CPMs. But when his traffic increased he still managed to earn millions from Adsense http://plentyoffish.wordpress.com/2006/0…
My site is nowhere PlentyofFish.com’s traffic as my site is only ranked 33,726 in Alexa, but my CPM is VERY GOOD and CTR is also excellent so I manage to earn 6-digits a year from Adsense
So realistically, sky’s the limit in terms of earning from Adsense — if you know how to leverage the strengths of your site and work to offset the weaknesses.
One thing is clear: Adsense is not for every website there is; you must have the RIGHT type of website for Adsense to work and for you to see great earnings from the program

The amount of revenue can be limitless. It is completely dependent on the amount of traffic your ads receive. The more sites you have that display the ads, the higher the possibility to increase revenues through adsense.
Some webmasters have adsense on over 20 individual web sites, with multiple pages. Each page can display ads. Imagine the possibility for this webmaster to gain revenue with all those sites & pages.
Many webmaster take advantage of all the options for driving traffic to their web site; pay-per-click, newsletters, blogs, forums, directory submissions, and many more. It is these webmasters that recieve large amount of income by implementing AdSense

Lots,, each time a the search term is entered the bussiness pays a few cents..they get tons of business

You mean as opposed to how much money you can “unrealistically” make? jk, well, as far as I know it all depends on how much traffic you can steer towards your site. But I’m not sure, so I’d try googling “profits from google adsense” or something.

Probably around 3 bucks a month, but it varies because it it calculated by how many clicks you get on the ad.

If you have good traffic on your site and is related to some products or services, you could be making 4-5 figures a year.

It all depends on how much traffic you get, and just how savvy you are at placing the ads!
My site gets around 15000 visitors per month and generates around $150 per month. I know of some webmasters who are literally making many thousands of dollars per month – it’s all down to traffic!

you need content. to have content you have to do research. you need traffic. to have good traffic you should learn how to get it in order to make continuous influx of traffic. to get consistent clicked from traffic you need good conversion rates. to get good conversion rates you need to test and test. to do all that you need knowledge and skill to master the art of adsense. to know realistically how you can make thru adsense i don’t know cause i don’t want to give hypothetical answer.
