How Do You Publish A Html Code From Notepad?

Posted by Adsense Blog on July 5th, 2009 at 04:46am

I signed up for google adsense and I don’t know how to publish my code.
I don’t have a wysiwyg code editor.
Oh and how do you make it so that you’re allowed to post ads on multiple sites?

Write the HTML code in notepad or what have and when you go to save the file make sure you save it in quotes like this: “filename.html”. By saving the name of the file in quotes with the file type it forces it to be saved as a HTML file type.

You copy the AdSense code Google provides you for your ad, you then place the code in the page .html,.php, .asp whatever on your site in a html editor, upload it via FTP to your site on your host and then you’re all set.
I don’ think you’re allowed to place the same code on different sites, so you’d have to look into that with the Terms Of Service on Google.

save your code as html then ftp it to the server.
I write my own webpages, mostly in raw HTML using wordpad.
My ISP has provided me with an FTP link so I can upload my webpages that I create.

Once you have an Adsense account, you can publish code on any of your pages or websites. Google bases the ads on the content of your pages, so they will dynamically customize to your site.
As for transferring your HTML, you’ll need a program like WS_FTP or Cute FTP or Filezilla. Just search for “free ftp program”.
    Good luck!
