Light colors work best for business sites. Get rid of the photo gallery, games and other personal stuff add a portfolio of websites that you have designed and a resume. It's more of a personal page rather than a professional page - personally I think you should decide if you want to sell your services as a web designer and therefore loose the ads or make it more of a personal page and keep them.
