Anyone Using Adsense Manager Plug-in In Wp?

Posted by Adsense Blog on July 3rd, 2009 at 02:09pm

ok i have to admit that i dont know much about adsense, but just the other day i installed the plug in adsense manager on my website and have enabled it to display the default ads everywhere like homepage, pages and in individual posts. Thing is, i have found it doesnt display on my homepage or pages, but works fine in individual posts. I want it to display in my homepage as this is where most of my content is that everyone sees. Has anyone had the same hassles? If so, how did you fix it? At the moment, my homepage is displaying PSA (public service ads) I have followed the instructions OK, so i really dont understand why this is.. also I tried to add the code directly into my sidebar without adsense manager and the same happened, just showed PSA, but works great in posts. Could anyone point me in the right direction? The support forum was very vague in its solution, but seen there was others with the same problem. Could be a bug you think? Or something to do with my homepage not being adsense friendly? I have another blog that adsense works perfectly on the homepage, so im stumped.

if it shows public service adverts on the homepage it maybe that it cannot find content to match adverts with, try usng the seo plugin and ensure you have some content on your page.
the adverts will update on thier own, I would let them be for a bit and if there is still an issue then maybe check out the adsense forum, im sure this is a regular problem asI have found it before and just left it and it was fine after a while.
    Good Luck

If you’re receiving the PSA ads okay, at least you know your Adsense code is placed in the correct spots and it’s talking to the Google servers.
Part of Google’s advertising algorithms is that it bases the type of ads to display on your site from the content on that specific web page. It could be the first words that it’s spider can read off your web or blog, or content nearest that specific Adsense banner, and then displays relevant ads.
If you just inserted your Adsense code, it can take a few hours, even up to a day, for Google to adjust and then you will see other non-PSA ads announced.
If you want to tell me your URL, I’d be happy to look at it. I manage a number of Adsense accounts.
I hope this will all resolve for you soon.
