  If they are not paying you for the 4 clicks, someone in your house has clicked on them, or they are all from the same IP address, so you need to stop that from happening or you will not have an adsense account.
  You need outside traffic , the impressions are likely you visiting your page.

  There are some layout tricks you will need to impliment if you are counting on adsense for income. I will give you a few here.
  One is to limit any other links leaving the page, place 3 set’s of ads and make the text wrap around the ads, so that the visitor HAS to see the ads.
  the last part is to have teaser copy, so you want the copy to be just “average” at best.
  So if you have 3 ad groups, limited and average content and the reader HAS to see the ads, you increase clickthrough rates.
  The point is that you want them to get boared with your writings but be on topic enough to get the right ads there. They see a more exciting link (adsense) and they click an ad, and you get paid.
  You can use places like adbrite.com to buy cheap traffic with your ads to get traffic, if needed. There are many other factors, but there is just too much to cover here.
